SAMPLE TOPICS

My 30+ years of musical theatre arts, coaching, and practical business expertise provide us with multiple perspectives and plenty of anecdotes to ensure our conversation resonates with your target listener.

I spoke about this topic at the LEGACY virtual business summit this year. Below is a short video where the host, Alex Brueckmann and I debrief our summit session.

I offer a free download of two worksheets and an mp3 of my song "Look at Me" from the Original London Cast Recording of my musical The Witches of Eastwick to your listeners with this conversation.

"We're all born with our inner song, the thing that lights us up and drives us forward. Being open to that is part of what helps us create and it connects us to the wisest parts of ourselves. It connects us to compassion. It connects us to courage, clarity, contentment, and the very reason we’re here." ~ Dana P. Rowe

I don't know about you, but when someone launches into one of those hyper-drive "bragologue" elevator pitches…my mind wanders off. We all know what's coming, so our brains try to remember if we locked the front door or think about what we need to buy at the market on the way home.

I share straightforward, easy-to-remember techniques for introducing yourself, so it doesn't feel salesy but remains engaging and informative. And talk about conversational strategy 101 and tips on avoiding the dreaded small talk loop.

In the below newsletter post, I share my four-point intro formula and a free downloadable help guide that I will also offer to your listeners. Perhaps it will inspire questions and points of conversation.

Ditch the Pitch and Elevate the Conversation

I help clients in every corner of the creative industry, including those who write and produce musicals, act in feature films, publish books, fill art galleries, and sing on Broadway and the West End.

I offer a free downloadable worksheet that helps your listeners devise their own success plan and see where they need to focus to level up their career and strategize for more tremendous success.

Even under normal circumstances, we creative types have unique challenges to deal with. Self-sabotaging habits, negative self-talk, and imposter syndrome, to name just a few!

  • Did you know it's possible to learn how to intercept your inner critic and redirect self-sabotaging habits?
  • Did you know 80% of people score below the minimum level of mental fitness required for peak performance and happiness?
  • If you're not physically fit, you'd feel physical stress climbing a steep hill.
  • If you're not mentally fit, you'd feel mental stress, anxiety, frustration, overwhelm, or unhappiness as you handle relationships and career challenges.

I'm one of the world's first Certified Positive Intelligence Coaches (CPQC). Number 42 in the world to be exact. I'll share ways to intercept the self-sabotaging inner critic and offer a free downloadable worksheet so your listeners can go deeper, identify their own saboteurs, and start building their own mental fitness muscles.

So many creative entrepreneurs feel like they're not making the progress they want to make in their creative calling. Even though they are working every day, nothing is happening. It could be one of these top 10 mistakes that might be limiting their success.

Here's a companion blog post I wrote around this subject that might serve as ideas for questions and points of conversation.

10 Common Mistakes Creatives Make That Limit Success

The two go hand in hand. If your mental well-being is not stable, then chances are that your physical health will suffer as well. In my companion blog post below, I talk about self-esteem and why it’s so crucial for creative professionals, especially those just starting out.

Perhaps this blog post will inspire questions and points of conversation.

Gratitude is defined as a feeling of appreciation for someone or something; it's also referred to as thankfulness.

We've heard that being grateful can make you feel better. However, after learning the science behind gratitude, many are more inclined to practice and keep it up. So let's look at what takes place in your brain while you're practicing gratitude and how shifting your thoughts to a state of thankfulness may help your body.

Studies show that those who practice this way of thinking experience increased oxytocin and dopamine levels and decreased cortisol and adrenaline levels. This new, improved balance creates a "happy cycle": more oxytocin and dopamine lead to more activity in these regions, leading to even more happiness.

Gratitude Rewires Your Brain and Makes You Happier

We are constantly being told we need to be different in some way. We’re bombarded by the minute with the next sure-fire solution that’s guaranteed to make us happier, better looking, more successful, more intelligent, more fulfilled, and the hands-down coolest kid on the block. And while it’s important to continuously strive for growth in our lives, it’s also crucial that we don’t lose sight of who we are in the process!

It’s no wonder that we have so many people walking around feeling like imposters or frauds. They’ve spent their entire lives trying to be somebody they’re not, and in the end, it’s led to a lot of pain and unhappiness.

The good news is that it’s never too late to be more authentic!

Here's a companion blog post I wrote with tips on living more authentically that might serve as potential questions and points of conversation.

12 Ways to Live More Authentically and Why It’s Important

MY PHILOSOPHY

I'm a composer, author, coach, and activist who believes that Music can heal, inspire, and unite people.

My mission is to help your listeners connect with their Inner Song - that is, become aware and conscious of their original purpose, values, and immense potential.

I believe Music is the language of emotion, and I consider it my first language. We're all born creative, intuitive, and connected to our Inner Song and the wisest parts of ourselves. All too often, life's pressures cause us to disregard our inner compass and put aside our passions.

Sadly, this ride on the bobsled to indifference is the trend. One that threatens the happiness, productivity, and legacy of your listeners and, if it persists, will negatively impact us all.

I don't believe you invite podcast guests just to tick off another episode on your to-do list. I am convinced you want to inspire and empower your listeners to take action and positively influence the world.

I will collaborate with you and your team to make sure we achieve your goals. Whether you're looking to inspire business leaders to be more creative, intuitive, and practical, or you want to guide creatives as they navigate the world of entrepreneurship.

I blend engaging stories from my personal journey - from precocious musical child to maestro of self-destructive behavior, back to thriving composer and coach - with related research and hands-on, practical tips that your listeners can use right away.

Curiosity and collaboration are among my top values, and I love nothing more than a lively, deep two-way conversation!

I look forward to collaborating with you.
